Voodoo Daddy

Bobby Farrell Died After A concert
At 61 yrs . old, he has been within his bed. Many of try to be dancing on "Daddy Cool", "Sunny", "Ma Baker", "Rasputin" or maybe "Rivers Of Babylon" down the road: re-discover the band's exceptionnal employment!
According to AFP Bobby Farrell the male singer belonging to the disco band Boney M, died today in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he this they was on tour. He was 61. "He happens to be found in his cargo area, but the cause from his death isn't known yet" his agent Bob Seine said. Managed by German producer Frank Farian, the 70's band returned during spring 2009 with a new single, a tribute to the actual President of the current Usa. The music group covered their hit via 1980, "Felicidad (Margherita)", renamed "Felicidad The usa.
This death comes once Bobby Hebb's death, who was simply the composer of "Sunny" (he expired at 72 of cancers, in August). Boney M covered it in 1976, being disco hit.
The 4 original members had been Liz Mitchell, Maizie Williams, Bobby Farrell & Marcia Barrett right from 1976 to 1985. Reggie Tsiboe became a member of them from 1982 to be able to 1985. The band divide, creating their own Boney M bands with backing vocalists, all around the world. Bobby Farrell seemed to be chosen as a dancer, since the real voice was done by Frank Farian themself! Even, Maizie Williams has not sung any song. Most of the songs have been sung by means of Liz Mitchell & Honest Farian, with Marcia Barrett like a backing vocalist. The image of Boney M with 3 girls & their voodoo master contributed in the band's success, but their orchestration was actually fine & the group got hits in Western world with "Daddy Cool" during 1976, "Sunny" & "Ma Baker" on 1977 & their cover on the Melodians' reggae song "Rivers Involving Babylon" in 1978, the third most sold single in great britan. After "Rasputin" in 1978 & their cover of the Creations' "Painter Man" inside 1979, the band's latest hits are already "Hooray! Hooray! It's YOUR Holi-Holiday", "Gotta Go Home" & "El Lute" during 1979 & "Kalimba De Luna" (N?6 during 1985). Boney M delivered to single charts with their "Megamix" in 1989.
The band has distributed 150 million records everywhere in the world, got 42 old watches discs, 50 platinum disks & 50 diamond disks.

What are some modern swing/piano jazz artists?
I love swing music, but I never know what to look up, can someone tell me umm maybe 10, amazing swing and piano jazz artists?
I already know about Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
Thanks
Well first off, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, is a "Neo-Swing" Band. Neo-Swing is swing music that became popular briefly during the late 1990's. It differs from traditional swing music, because the music is recorded with more of a rock beat and rhythm rather than a traditional swing rhythm (which is why most people think of neo-swing as being "higher energy" music).
Other bands like BBVD, would be:
Atomic Fireballs
Brian Setzer Orchestra
Cherry Poppin' Daddies
Fat Cat Swinger
Lee Press-On and the Nails
Royal Crown Revue
Squirrel Nut Zippers
But if you wanted a modern band that really plays swing, like real swing, then you need to look no further than Jonathon Stout and His Campus Five:

Not all of their songs have a piano in it, but all their songs swing.
As for modern piano artists that play swing, there's lots to look up:
Dick Hyman
