What is a better ball for me to use, a precept laddie or a titleist prov1?
I have a medium swing speed (not that fast but not slow) and I am looking for more distance and backspin. Would you suggest using a precept laddie or titleist prov1? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks
I honestly think with the info given you're in a position that any ball will fit, it's about feel on your behave and not breaking the bank for a premium ball that doesn't really come into play. Many of the balls for distance aren't your best balls for greenside control. Try a middle of the road...Bridgestone E6, or B330RXS or the Srixon Z-Star. The Precept laddie will bring distance. The ProV1 greenside control. You might also try the PROV1X which might give you what you're looking for a bit more distance and a bit more greenside control in one ball. Backspin isn't all in the ball, your club head speed needs to be up there and the angle of approach needs to be high...clean grooves helps.
Buy a sleeve of each and do a demo for yourself, that's probably the best advice.
