Timbertown Heritage Park
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time 100 years and visit a bustling little timber town, nestled in 87 acres of beautiful natural forest? If so, you will thoroughly enjoy a visit to a popular Port Macquarie destination called Timbertown Heritage Park, where visitors of all ages can enjoy its logging theme.
Know to many as the finest heritage park in all of Australia, Timbertown opened its gates for visitors in 1976. Since that time, there have been more than 2,000,000 people who have enjoyed the authentic surroundings and attractions that gave them the feeling they had stepped back into time. It is easy to imagine the strenuous effort put forth by the pioneer settlers to build a life for themselves. It’s also easy to imagine how they celebrated their achievements with good times. You can see all this and more when you step back into time at Timbertown!
What can you do on a day trip to Timbertown? It may be hard for you to make up your mind, as the park is set up like a town would have been during that era. There are so many different things to enjoy here that this experience will end up being a very special part of your Port Macquarie holiday.
Attractions include something to please every member of the family. Take a ride on the Timbertown Heritage Steam Railway, or watch as timber is cut by an actual steam sawmill, said to be the only one left in the area. Or, tour the entire town by taking a wagon ride around to see the sites, and enjoy the fun of being in a vehicle pulled by a Clydesdale horse! You’ll experience bullock teams hauling lumber and other goods, vintage tractors and trucks, historical displays, a wonderful antique and handmade furniture store, and a petting zoo with many farmyard animals.
Historical sights to see at Timbertown include the colonial-style houses that were popular in the 1800s, a school, church, pub, and stables typical of those found in small towns. The whole effect is beautifully authentic, as great care was take during construction to build everything just so.
There are ample shopping venues to be found at Timbertown Heritage Park. You’ll find unique merchandise such as jewellery, arts and crafts, and other memorabilia that is in keeping with the park’s theme. How about a demonstration of cross cut sawing, or a paddle boat ride? Whenever you get hungry, stop in at the Maul and Wedge restaurant for a great meal, which includes the kind of service you would expect from an eating establishment set amidst the charm of a past era. At the Lassiandra Tea Room, you can expect an atmosphere of genteel elegance while dining on your choice of a number of wonderful entrées.
An old-fashioned store by the name of Wallace’s can supply you with handmade candy and other confections, as well as ice cream. This is also the place to go for souvenirs of your visit. If chocolate is your thing, check out Vicker’s Fudge Factory for a real treat.
The Timbertown Winery Erwin Cellars allows visitors to the Park to observe how their delicious wine is made, enjoy wine tastings, and purchase some exceptional wines that are only available from the park.
Timbertown Heritage Park is open 364 days a year. It is closed only on Christmas Day. Operating hours are from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM, except on school holidays, when closing time is 4:30 PM.

The inverted wedge box is basically a type of bandpass box. For small boxes it will be loud but it will only sound good between a certain set of frequencies, outside this range of frequencies, spl will drop off a lot. Since you have a small car i would still choose a wedge though.
A big ported box will be the loudest if you have room to build it (that's why you don't see bandpass boxes at DB soundoffs).
