Could you tell me why the Philadelphia Phillies didn't do anything with reliever Tom Gordon?
Even though the offseason accuiring of closer Brad Lidge helped the rotation, all I've seen from Tom Gordon is failure. And it looks as if it's going to continue this year.
First off I am a huge Phillies fan. Secondly I couldn't agree more. Brad Lidge has shown the Phillies nothing but success while Tom Gordon has blown two games for them. The most recent only a few minutes ago. However he did have a successful game in the opening game of the series against the Mets. I think they have a lot of trust in him to come around and do what he has done for many years. Besides they may not be able to get any decent pitchers out of a trade with him and the Phillies pitching is what needs work. I think they have the right idea by keeping him and I think we'll see him come around.
