You would be hard to find a better example of a movie ruined by trying to be too much for too many people that Red Riding Hood, which opens on Friday and, by all rights, should close on Saturday.

To be fair, no actor can be expected to excel as corny dialogue and uninspired direction Hardwicke, solid veterans such as Virginia Madsen, Julie Christie and Lukas Haas struggle to make an impression with the best supporting Christie. As a parent Red, Billy Burke seems more divided in areas outside of James Franco at the Oscars, which suggests that it is only here for a connection to Twilight more.
