N.J. Simicich,

This keyboard has legitimate piano sound and is restricted only by its speakers. The sound quality are superior to certain upright piano and you don't have the inconvenience of needing an action tuneup.

For a advanced keyboard, the controls are fairly intuitive.

It is really easy to navigate. I plugged a thumb drive of songs in standard Midi format in the piano and it could play all of them as a midi player.

It had a more natural feel in comparison with some of the real pianos, with regards to regularity along with level of smoothness while still being weighted properly.

A good mechanic can fix it in a matter of few hours ! find a GOOD one and you are saved..
Yamaha service usually sucks when it comes to such problems, avoid them !

Since there are lots of possibilities its impossible to guide you through the entire process however ill try to help you from my experiences with my FZ16
I strongly believe its a choked air supply, get it thoroughly checked.

Do you mean hiccups ? like when u accelerate hard the bike kinda jerks and not accelerate for 1 or 2 seconds and then runs fine ? which usually occurs only at high rpms ?
Can be choked air filter/ bent air supply tubes(there are 2 secondary tubes running from the filter box to engine), Dirty carb (open and get it cleaned).

Check your top speed on a safe road?
You must get around 110kmph. (lesser means, congested air supply/ carb problems)

Is the engine running fine without missing cycles at idle ?
If no, you need to get the engine interiors inspected by a pro. (usually your compression ratios are messed up)

Finally, have you modified you bike like installing new K&N filters/ exhaust mods, or rejetting etc?
I had the same problem after installing a K&N filter(due to congested airflow pipes, caused due to negligence of the mechanic)

I think my FZ16 will run trouble free for atleast 50,000 kms :D , im so happy to own one ! and so will yours, so dont give up.
