Top 5 Theme Parks on the East Coast
The United States is home to most theme parks on the planet. No country comes close to that. Almost every state has something good and unique to offer. On the East Coast, there are many great and exciting theme parks for thrill-seeking guests to choose from. These parks are just an easy drive from major population centers. But what makes them more interesting? They each offer good value for the admission cost. A good theme park has to have more than a few rides—attractions, entertainment, and dining options for all ages are an imperative to make a visit to the park more fun and memorable. Here is a list of the 5 theme parks on the east coast which made it to the top:
- Walt Disney World
Who wouldn’t know Walt Disney World? This theme park is one of the most famous theme parks in the whole of the United States, if not the world; thus securing the top spot. This is perfect for those families that have children spread across a wide range of ages. If you want to unleash the child in you, this park is the place to be.
Walt Disney World is actually composed of several individual theme parks, the largest of which are the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom. In addition to these classic parks, Walt Disney World also has other exciting attractions such as the Wide World of Sports Complex, the Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks, and a wide range of luxurious resorts to make every visit magical. So with its 4 parks, 2 water parks, tons of resorts, and golf courses, it's almost impossible to be bored in Walt Disney World…
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Often recognized as the most beautiful theme park in the world, Busch Gardens would definitely bring out the traveler in you. It combines the ambience of Europe with the exquisite landscapes, architecture, music, art, and costumes that bring European cultures alive and the thrills of the modern world. It has 6 roller coasters and many other rides and attractions which would definitely tickle your interests. Great coasters plus animals, rides, and shows for the more timid park visitors… There's simply a lot to do here!
- Six Flags America
Third on the list is Six Flags America. Admit it, when they say ‘theme park’, more than anything else, roller coasters are the main attraction. And for many people, this is also their benchmark on the essence and beauty of the park—the more death-defying and nauseating the roller coaster is, the greater the experience. Given these premise, Six Flags America would surely measure up. It has some of the fastest, tallest, wildest, gut-wrenchingest rides in the country—including a few record-breakers. So if you are the type who never settles with mediocre coasters, then without second thoughts, Six Flags America is for you.
- Cedar Point Amusement Park
If roller coaster is the name of the game, Cedar Point Amusement Park won’t let itself be left behind. It is for those who just can’t have enough of roller coasters. It boasts of 17 roller coasters, beating any park in the planet. And it doesn’t stop there. Though Cedar Point undeniably invests on these coasters, it has a lot more to offer. It has something for everyone. From hotel accommodations, the main attractions—the roller coasters, kiddie rides, restaurants and even shows for entertainment of the children and the children-like.
- Freestyle Music Park
If you want fresh and new, consider Freestyle Music Park and you wouldn’t be disappointed. This Myrtle Beach attraction opened very recently with a new lineup of rides and activities to boast. It is especially dedicated to those music-lovers since the entire concept of the park revolves on music. It used to spotlight Rock and Roll but now caters to all kinds and genres of music. Its rides were also renamed and with their new names come newer and better experiences….
