Tiger, Nike to launch 'Make it Matter' Tour

Fresh off the Masters tournament, Nike Golf and Tiger Woods will team up to launch the inaugural Nike Golf "Make it Matter" Tour in China and South Korea from April 12 - 14.

 

The Nike "Make It Matter" Tour aims to illuminate the sport of golf in Asia among youngsters, golf fans and aspiring athletes alike - all through the insights shared by Woods as it relates to golf, including athletic training, practicing, preparing for competition and product innovation.

 

"Our goal with this tour is to combine the enormous popularity of Tiger as a global iconic athlete with the strength of the Nike brand in Asia and around the world to excite, attract and inspire golfers of all ages," said Cindy Davis, president of Nike Golf.

 

"We believe that teaming with Tiger to shine a light on golf in China and Korea will have a meaningful impact on a region that is playing a critical role in the growth of our sport."

 

The tour will start in Shenzhen (April 12), then move on to Beijing (April 13) and Seoul, South Korea (April 14).

 

Meantime, Woods will open clinics for young people, and provide insights into his training regimen.

any advice on the new callaway x tour forged irons?

I assume you are asking about the X-Forged irons, the ones that were released very recently? If so, you definitely want to hit them before you buy them. If you are more than about a 4-handicap you most likely shouldn't play them. They aren't forgiving at all, and mistakes will be punished. However, if you are a low handicapper, or otherwise are a mid-handicap but a VERY consistent ball-striker (as I am) they are great clubs. Plus, they are beautiful. I tried them out and they feel great, but not quite for me. If you are willing to shop around a little, you might want to look at the TaylorMade r7 TP set, Cleveland CG2's (my irons, and they are the best feeling set I have ever hit) Titleist 695cb's or 755's, Ping i5's or S58's, or the Cobra Carbon CB's (they recently won the Editor's Choice in the Golf Magazine ClubTest).
