Footjoy is now offering its newest golf shoe, “SYNR-G.” 

This new golf shoe has some interesting technology and features and claims to be the most stable Footjoys ever.

SYNR-G comes in 4 different colors: White Lizard Print/White Smooth, Brown Lizard Print/White Smooth, Black Lizard Print/White Smooth, and Black Lizard Print/ Black Smooth.

One of the first golfers to sign up for this new shoe is Padraig Harrington.  Harrington will wear the new SYNR-G shoe, which debuts in January, 2009. Footjoy states that the SYNR-G shoe is a perfect combination of comfort and stability and is engineered for players such as Harrington who possess higher swing speeds and demand additional support and motion control in their golf shoes.  “FootJoy is a brand that just about every young golfer is brought up wearing, and I was no different,” said Harrington. “The belief should be that you are using the very best shoes available, which will give you an edge over the field. The new SYNR-G shoes from FootJoy are fantastic. They support the foot well throughout the golf swing, which is so important to hitting solid, powerful shots.”

Other players dding SYNR-G to their attire are Parker McLachlin and Davis Love.  I am sure there will be plenty more players adding this shoe to improve their game.  If the new footwear does what it claims, it is sure to be a hit.

Is it a stretch to think that better shoes will help my game?

right now i have footjoy greenjoys. i got them for $35 while they were on sale back when i wasnt too sure about golf. i have since become an addicted fanatic about the game, and have a 10 handicap. would getting a pair of Footjoy SYNR-Gs or Contours or some other "better" shoe really help my game at all?

i do walk all the time so id imagine that theyd help my feet feel more comfortable during the round, but is it a stretch to think they'll help my performance?

Golf is so mental anything can affect your game. I don't think its a stretch at all, if your shoes are more comfortable its one less thing you have to think about.
