The Fleece Ferret Hammock
I have never had a pet ferret before, but it is a quite popular animal to be kept as a pet. In many living situations a dog is just not a practical animal to keep as a pet. Dogs can bark and wake up or disturb neighbors in situations where houses are close or apartments. In fact in many places dogs are not allowed for the disruptions they can cause.
Ferrets are smaller and quiet and can be a good pet even in an urban environment where your neighbors are quite close. Small and agile animals pets can be very entertaining to watch as well. Just like any other pet though, ferret owners like to pamper their pets, and so it is not unusual that it's popular to get a fleece ferret hammock as a cozy resting place for your small furry pet.
As I said I have never had a pet ferret myself, but I can see the attraction of the small agile (relatively quiet) animals that they are. A fleece ferret hammock is simply a nice cozy place for your pet ferret to rest, although being playful animals I suspect it could also be something to play on as well. It really is surprising the variety of patterns that I see online for ferret hammocks. They do seem to come in a range of sizes as well, which is good to accomodate a range of ferret sizes.
You probably will want to be careful to get a good fit for your ferret, because if it's too large a hammock for your ferret they may have trouble getting out of it easily due to sagging of the hammock. These hammocks are designed to be placed in a cage and usually will come with clips to attach them. From what I have read ferrets tend to enjoy fleece over cotton or other materials, but it is still not terribly expensive. Many prices are under ten dollars (Under 20 with shipping and tax.)
You will likely see the fleece ferret hammock offered in a wide variety of colors and styles ranging from solid colors to zebra prints. In many cases if you are ordering online the colors are assorted and you will get whatever color they choose to send you. For that reason, if you are concerned that you get a specific color or design you may want to purchase offline or make sure that the place you are buying from is able to give a specific color or pattern match.
Ferrets can spend anywhere between 14 and 18 hours a day sleeping and isn't it worth it for your cute pet to have a nice fleece ferret hammock for it to get that rest in.
