go cart solid axle?

i want to converte my single wheel drive go cart into a solid axle type go cart. what will i need. what needs to be welded, and the hubs, what will fit a 1/4 in kewway. how would i mount the brake pad thing. etc.

You won't be able to turn corners with a solid axle, therefore you will need some type of deferential to allow both wheels to turn separately when cornering.

Some type of ratcheting device on each wheel would work. This would serve the same purpose as a deferential allowing the outside wheel to turn faster than the inside one.
