The Sidekick - A great little cargo carrier from Thule
The Thule 682 Sidekick is the most pint-sized car-roof cargo box that the Swedish market leader manufactures. The point of a roof-box is to liberate the trunk of the car by moving as much of your luggage up onto the top of the car in a neat, watertight container. So what might motivate you to order the Thule Sidekick when it offers such modest dimensions when compared to some of the huge cargo boxes produced by Thule?
It is obvious when you think about it, not everybody has a monster-sized car to mount the Sidekick on, not everybody has monster-sized car piles of luggage to transport, and not everybody has a huge wallet either!
Put simply, the Thule Sidekick is the cargo box for you if you drive a small to middling-sized auto, you have at most a couple of hundred dollars or so to spend on a cargo box and you are just planning to take a few pieces more gear with you than your car trunk provides.
The Sidekick's small dimensions, at approximately 12 cu ft, mean it is perfect for transporting your golf clubs, or maybe a couple of rucksacks or suitcases, without overloading your car or causing performance-sapping drag and increased fuel bills.
It is light as a feather at 16lb and so can in most cases be installed by an individual - great if you are the lone ranger travelling type and would rather not have to get someone else to lend a hand! The Sidekick may be small, but it still smacks of that modern, distinctive Thule look that has made the brand a market leader.
It would be remiss to report on the Thule Sidekick without mentioning a couple of minor drawbacks: a small minority of users have reported that they had trouble installing the Sidekick without help, and a small minority have also reported that a small amount of damp can enter the box in extremely rainy driving conditions. However, in most cases both problems can be easily resolved with careful initial mounting.
Looking at the whole picture, a handful of slight difficulties cannot detract from an excellent compact cargo box like the Thule Sidekick. With owners on one major shopping web site giving it an average review of 4 out of 5, and votes on another well-known site averaging 4.5 out of a possible 5, it is clear that you cannot fail to benefit with a Thule 682 Sidekick on your roof.

Is it ok to wear black shorts on the golf course?
I want to wear my black shorts today, they are not cargo shorts. I was wondering if it is acceptable to wear them to go golfing.
Virtually any colour shorts are acceptable at the course. More important is the length of your shorts. No more than a couple of inches above the knees please. Pair them up with a nice collared shirt and you'll look like a fashion plate out there.
