My dvdcd player/burner will not download, install or even open discs. I can hear the motor running?
My dvd/cd player burner on my laptop is not working properly. I bought a rogram today to be installed and it will not install it. When I put the program in , you can hear the motor running then it stops. The player is working as when I go into "my computer" and into my E drive , I can get some programs ot work that way. Is something corrupt or missing that it wont boot up properly??
Will it play ANY Cd's at all?
If not check your internal wiring and make sure the CD burner's jumpers are configured correctly.
There is the possibility the burner is just bad.
As a last resort go into Device Manager and delete the driver for the CD-reboot and let Windows reinstall the driver.
