Chrysler Grand Voyager

Price and Equipment:

Priced at $56,990, the all-new 2008 Chrysler Voyager proved that it has the right factors to be considered as the best vehicle to move people and cargo. The new Grand Voyager includes advanced multistage driver front-passenger airbags, supplemental side-curtain in all 3 rows, driver and front-passenger front seat-mounted side air bag; 3-zone automatic temperature control; 4-wheel disc ABS brakes; overhead console includes interior observation mirror, sunglasses bin, switchable on/off lamps; electronic stalk mounted cruise control; electronic Stability Program, Brake Assist and all-speed traction Control; rear fog lamps; rearview, day/night auto dimming interior mirrors; rear Park Assist System; Remote Keyless/Illuminated Entry; roof rack; cloth-trimmed with YES Essentials Seat Fabric; stow 'n Go Seating and Storage System; myGIG Multimedia Entertainment System with 20GB hard disk drive; 6 speakers (included with Premium Sound Group); Tyre Pressure Monitoring Warning Lamp; 16" aluminum wheel; power front with driver-side one-touch windows.

Under the Bonnet:

The Chrysler Grand Voyager has a six-speed automatic transmission and either a 3.8-litre V-6 engine that produces 142 kW (193 hp DIN) at 5,200 rpm and 305 Nm (230 lb.-ft.) of torque at 4,000 rpm, or a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 120 kW (163 hp DIN) at 3,800 rpm and 360 Nm (266 lb.-ft.) of torque at 1800 rpm.  Three equipment levels – LX, Touring and Limited will be also be available.

How it Drives:

When hitting the road, Grand Voyager is quiet, thanks to a good noise insulation and smooth 2.8-litre CRD engine. The diesel delivers 161bhp and 360Nm of torque, and provides reasonable performance considering the Chrysler weighs two tonns. A 3.8-litre V6 petrol is available, although it’s thirsty and won’t appeal to many buyers in Australia.

Comfort and Practicality:

The Macarthur 2008 Chrysler Voyager is a good choice if you are up to comfort and practicality. Notice the premium, multi-function, dual glove boxes, second-row covered storage bins, third-row storage area and clever storage bins not to mention the pockets that offer more places to store things than ever before.

There are actually two distinct seating configurations available for 2008 Voyager. One is the Stow ’n Go® seating and storage system which provides the only second- and third-row fold-in-the-floor seats in the industry and the new Swivel ’n Go seating which allows the second row seats to swivel 180 degrees to face rearward. Aside from that, Swivel ’n Go also includes a removable table which fits between the second and third rows with a fold-in-the-floor third-row seat. A one-touch power-folding third-row seat also is available.

Safety:

Safety has clearly been a Voyager’s priority. Side curtain airbags are all-round and added rollover protection are standard, which will give peace of mind to family buyers. Brake assist and stability control systems are also included.

About the Author

I am 23 year old student on my last year of study at the University of Sydney (Sydney), majoring in Information technology. Search more Chrysler cars at Macarthur Chrysler .

What makes resisting temptations so difficult?

I'm doing an essay on the Odyssey and my thesis was that Homer wanted to show that the most difficult obstacle to conquer would be resisting temptations.

I already have two ideas of why temptations are so hard to resist:
Sometimes you don't see that there are consequences until you've fallen into temptation. (the bag of wind the men opened- they didn't know they'd be set back in their voyage because they thought it was treasure)

At times a situation you got yourself into can force you to fall into temptations. (When they land on the island and become stranded, they have to eat helio's cattle and sheep because they were facing starvation)

I'm guessing it's because we know we're not supposed to do it. If someone didn't forbid something, chances are, we'd spend less time thinking about doing it; or doing it, then trying to keep from getting caught, after having done it.

It all comes down to rules, in my opinion. Some rules are put into place to protect us from doing stupid things that might get us hurt... and many of those rules make sense. But some rules that are put into effect don't make sense to us, so we want to find out exactly why doing such a thing is forbidden. It's human nature to be curious, and that leads us into temptation many more times than not...

That's the way sex was with me. I wanted to know what it was like so badly; but once I'd had it and figured it out, I wasn't quite as hurried to get someone into the sack the next time. I've since then, developed a liking for personal space, and sex breaks that space. It's a personal choice... my rules don't apply to everyone.

But, I guess maybe treasure hunting has a set of rules all their own. I can't recall ever having read The Odyssey, so I can't really be certain of what Odysseus went through, with all the temptations he and his crew faced; but I can imagine Helios wasn't too happy about someone having eaten his flock. I guess I would have, too. Starvation sounds like it would be a hard thing to cope with.
